euNetworks, (SGX: H23.SI), owner and operator of one of Europe’s highest capacity fiber networks and provider of mission critical infrastructure and services, today announced that it has concluded an agreement with German Internet Service Provider Aixit GmbH. Under the terms of the five-year agreement, euNetworks will deploy a fully redundant private fiber network over which Aixit will enable their expanding customer base with a range of ISP and broadband services in Germany.

Aixit, one of Germany’s fastest growing ISPs, required a highly available and scalable networking solution, connecting Frankfurt’s financial center to a redundant datacenter in the west of the city. euNetworks deployed priva|nex, high availability and redundantly connected private fiber networks, enabling Aixit with a highly secure platform over which to deliver mission critical communications solutions for their customers in the financial sector.

Holger Grauer, CTO, Aixit GmbH, commented: “Our business critically depends upon the reliability and quality of service to our customers. euNetworks as owner and operator of one of Europe’s highest capacity fiber networks was uniquely positioned to provide us with our own dark fiber ring in Frankfurt - a carrier class, highly scalable infrastructure solution, to support our growing customer base.“

Noel Meaney, Chief Executive Officer, euNetworks, said: “In order to service their clients in the financial sector, Aixit demands the utmost reliability and scalability for their infrastructure. As euNetworks owns and operates a private fiber network which traverses the financial districts in Germany, we were uniquely positioned to cost efficiently enable Aixit with the required solution.”

priva|nex services

euNetworks enables service providers with the ability to lease or buy a full end2end, metro or European fiber network infrastructure on which to rollout their broadband services or upgrade their existing legacy networks, without the delays and costs of construction. The ever-increasing demand for new broadband related products such as video on-demand, video conferencing, triple play, Voice-over-IP, Digital and HD-TV are driving the need for telecommunication companies to upgrade to end2end fiber.
